I'm afraid you have to find a seat that works for you, I have been through a few myself, expensive journey, right now I'm on a Corbin dual tour, and I believe it's what I'm going to be with, it's really hard to know until you put some miles on one, good luck

Pretty much that.

The only seat that I've never heard a complaint about is Russell Daylong. I had one and it was great.

So why I didn't go that route again is beyond me. I have a Mustang Supertouring that I also had modified by MCC. It's not bad. Pretty good even. But not half as good as a Daylong.

get the Harley Hammock seat, if longer rides I would also recommend the backrest. Goto your dealership and get one of their loaner seats to try it out.

The only problem with that is I have heard it moves you forward and up. That is the opposite way that I want to go.

So far with 8,000km, I have found the stock seat to be just fine. Have had a number of long days in the saddle too. I have a backrest that helps. However, this seat is quite soft. While it is fine for my 160lb frame, I can imagine it would run out of comfort quickly for a larger rider. This is the first bike I've owned that hasn't had the seat changed out within a month, lol.

why don't you actually put some miles on the bike FYI seats need time to break in

Put an Ultra on my Rushmore SGS and its definitely an improvement over stock but not liking what it did to the lines on the bike. Fortunately I didn't
pay a lot for it but it is comfortable.

I'm running the Danny Gray Air Hawk and it's very firm, but comfortable. It sits me a little further back and a bit lower which is exactly what I was looking for. I'm liking it, but I've only had an hour in the saddle at the longest so far. I'm about to run a 1200-1300 mile trip coming up in another week which will be a real test.
