i have had luck with mustang seats which are made for extreme comfort and quality. My stock SGS seat is good actually but after an hour I jump off for a rest. My mustang vintage solo with backrest allowed me to ride for hours ( on my Yami).
Hammock is fugly, but lots of riders swear by their sundowner.
Mostly for me, a backrest is mandatory for comfort. JMO.
