Default stuck (rock and hard place)... seat problems

so i got a new bike, '16 RG in march and have been riding it mostly these last two weeks since the weather has been really cold till recent. well we have a trip coming up in 3 weeks and i was hoping that by putting miles on the bike before the trip i would be able to "break in" the seat. well the more i ride the bike and the more the seat loosens up the more i HATE it. now i don't know whether to just suck it up or do i get something else and risk it not being comfy either?

Some guys like the stock seats, I think they suck.
I bought a CVO Limited Heated seat.
Then I put a ton more in it modifying it to make to my liking.
Lots of hassle, but well worth it IMHO.

I put a stock ultra classic seat on mine and it was perfect.

The stock seats on the Road Glide and Street Glide are more for "looks" than they are for comfort.

If you want comfort, get a "touring" seat. Either HD or other brand.

I have 2 other seats for my 16 RGS. A Hammock for long rides. And the Low Solo that comes on the CVO specials. I had a Mustang vintage solo. Not bad. Back rest was good. Saddleman Dominator solo. That sucked. Like a brick. Out of all of them. The Harley seats are the best. The Hammock is a tank to tank seat. No need to stop except for gas. Just got that Harley Solo. Instantly comfortable. No break in period with either. Wish the solo had a back rest. But it's about as comfortable as the Hammock. And looks bad ***.

You can try the harley seats out. Dealers have them there.

Trip is coming up fast to really do much with the stock seat or break in a new one. Start sitting on nothing but hard surfaces and break your *** in instead lol. It'll make the soft stock seat feel much better.

When you get back, get a new damn seat or send the stock one out to get reworked.
