Default Front brake light switch question

2014 Street Glide. Is there an adjustment for the front brake light switch? As it is now, I have to pull in the lever far enough to apply the brakes harder than normal to get the lights to work. If I just lightly apply the brakes for a gentle slowdown, the light won't work.

No adjustment. Check you pad wear and fluid level if that is ok clean area around switch. It is not as touchy as the pre-rushmore ones you should hurt it .

As smitty said no adjustment --- but it sounds like that maybe the switch is not turned down into the housing all the way so as the lever is not making contact with the switch button

I had the same problem. The dealer said it needed to be replaced, meaning the entire switch pod. Mucho $$$.

I took everything apart last night & disassembled the actual switch. Everything looks good & is clean. I wonder if I could somehow shim the spring thats inside the switch to make it contact just a hair sooner.

I know this post is a couple months old but has anyone solved this? I have a 2014 Ultra limited that I just bought used and the front brake lever you really have to get on it to activate the brake lights. I may not squeeze it hard enough during easy braking to activate the light. Whats the fix? Thanks! I'm taking it in in a week or two to have the clutch and brake fluid flushed and replaced and the seals on the master cylinder covers replaced as well.
