Had similar symptoms on my Nightrain (changed from stock laced wheel to Thunder Star). Suspected/checked issues included tire balance & tire wear. Fall away was within spec. New tire & wheel balance didn't fix it. Finally tightened neck bearings to move the fall away to slightly tighter than spec & that fixed it.
That is what my mechanic buddy said... We will see what happens, I want it back by this weekend... I want to ride!!

Well, found out today that Colorado Customs NEVER BALANCED THE WHEEL PRIOR TO SHIPPING...

WHO THE HELL MOUNTS A TIRE ON A WHEEL AND DROP SHIPS IT TO A CUSTOMER WITHOUT BALANCING THE WHEEL!!!!

Colorado Customs answer, "You vendor didn't request it on the order form....."

Ever wanna reach through the phone and drag the person from the other end through it... Hi, that was me today....

Dynabeads in the mail, hopefully that fixes the problem....

Thought so skip the beads and do Ride On, balances and flat protection in one product and not near the hassle installing.

Manufacturers have the means to test out what happens with different size wheel/tire combinations on their bikes. There is usually a very good reason for putting a certain size combination on any given bike. They know and they built it. They know what can happen. Something so critical as a spinning wheel and tire have geometric consequences which are unknown to the common layman. For that reason, I myself shy away from changing the size of wheels/tires because I am not smart enough to know what can happen. Some people are, but not me.

Agreed I dropped the beads and went to Ride On never looking back. The bike is smooth and the flat protection is a bonus.

My 21 from Mad Wheels has the beads....rides smooth. Had a 04 that wobbled when I let go of the bars during slow down, tech said..."who is riding your bike when you let go of the bars?". Got it....... Turned out to be loose head bearings.

It's going in next week for the neck bearings to be tightened.. See how that works... According to my tech the wheels were 5 grams out of balance, which he said was practically nothing and equated a small single square weight if I wanted it...

See what happens with the neck bearings getting tightened and prayer for the best, once that is done, I will drop in the Ride-On stuff!

Thanks for all the help fellas!
