I just ordered that one and it arrived yesterday. Hoping to install it today or tomorrow.

Please do a sound check before and after, I'm curious what the ceramic header does as far as deeper tone? Or louder? (same mufflers of course).
Thanks

It sounded louder for the 4 heat cycles that their instructions called for. Haven't been able to test ride it yet though. Too much rain here and after the install I pulled my rear wheel for tire replacement and powder coating.

Hoping to get the rear wheel/tire back Friday and I'll install it then for a test ride.

Hopefully by now you have had a chance to put on a few hundred miles with your new Fuel Moto header.
How does the sound compare to your stock header? Was your stock header already decatted?
Some tell me that it would be a waste of time and money to replace a decatted stock header with an aftermarket brand.
Let us know your opinion on your new pipe.

Bodacious....Sound is louder and tone is deeper with this header versus my stock decatted header. It's not a drastic difference but enough to notice.

I did replace my stock decatted header for 2 reasons: heat and cross-talk. I recently powder coated my heat shields and had issues with the coating in one place twice. Secondly, V&H does not recommend auto tuning with a stock decatted headers.

No issues with powder coating on my problem spot (redid it a 3rd time) on the shields with this header yet through 2 tanks of gas. I'll auto tune when I can ride next. The cross over on this header is far enough behind the O2 sensors.

Wish I would have went to this Fuel Moto header initially versus decatting my stock one.

When i had a gutted heat pipe i barely noticed a difference in sound and performance over stock. Once i put on the head pipe ( bassani down under ) thats when it came alive. I was expecting much more from the de-cat and was let down by it. Now i am running the FM 2-1 road and track and couldn't be happier. All my life i ran 2-1 setups and stopped doing so for a few years. Now that i am back i will most likely never go back to a true dual setup.

My Cobra NH's fit perfect, having a baffle I can remove and/or customize the packing on is a big plus. Only problem I had was because my bike was dropped 2'' in the back the 4.5" bell scraped....had to raise it back up to the 1' drop and put more air in the shocks. They still scrape if I hit a corner too aggressively but I usually don't ride that hard. I can put more air in the shocks if I want to and am sure that would eliminate the scraping all together.
