Had one stock Dunlop on the front and two on the rear. Then I gave the CII's a try.
The difference is night and day. It handles so much better now that it feels like a new bike. And, no, it's not just because the tires are new, because it didn't feel this good when I put a brand new stocker on the back.
Give the CIIs a try. I'm betting you'll stay with them.

I've run these tires on three different Bikes. They are excellent.
One set gave me 20,000 miles and could have gone further. The Dunlops make noise on corners,
the Michelins are quiet even when older. My tire installer, told me the secret to getting 20,000 miles.
Run the rear at 42 - 43 psi front at 40. I ride half in the mountains, Deals Gap, Blue Ridge Parkway;
the rest - highway.

I went with the Dunlop American Elite when I replaced my stock tires. A Dunlop Rep explained (at the motorcycle show) that the American Elite tires are Dunlops version of their HD stock tires BUT with improvements that exceed HD's design specs. So they are NOT just the stock tires without the little HD logo on the sidewall, they are much improved. So far after 2,000 miles they seem great although my riding style doesn't test tires anywhere near their "limits".

I replaced the rear stock Dunlop at 13k on my 15 RGS to a CII. 15k on it now with 4/32 left. It is starting to cup slightly. I run it at 42 psi running one up (160lb) with luggage. Running a Cii on the front still in great shape. I have my next rear ready to go on in a couple thousand miles. I thought the stocks made noise in the corners as well..... goldie

I put a set on about 8200 miles ago. I was really happy with the way they rode they were better that the stockers for sure. The rear is now cupping and I watch the PSI very closely. I bought a new 21" front tire that came with a Dunlop Elite so I will be matching the rear with one of those and see how they wear.
