See if your dealer has one. Or has one on a bike there. Put it on yours and see how you like it. My dealership had a CVO there and they did the swap for me to see.

 

Stopped by my HD shop today. Was hoping they would have a Solo to demo. Of course they don't demo solo's. They had 2 2017 CVO's on the floor with solo's. They felt, and sat pretty nice. However, I believe that the true CVO seat has a leather cover with a softer fabric type material down the center.
I went to the parts dept and asked if they had a 52000248 diamond stitched or a 52000249 smooth solo in stock that i could look at and perhaps buy. Nothing in stock and with the Holiday next week, chances are they could not get one next week. Also they really wanted me to commit if they ordered one.
FWIW BoardTracker looks to be about $50 less and no tax.
Now I'm wondering if the Accessory Low Solo and CVO are in fact the same seat, but covered in higher grade materials?
I guess I have all weekend to get this figured out, it would be nice to actually see one before I buy.
Next closest dealer is 65 miles away. I will give them a call tomorrow and see if they have one in stock.

I have the HD Signature Series seat and its ok but I'm sure there better. Butt size has so much to do with it.

The seat is pretty comfortable to be honest.

I'm a fan of the police solo. Cheap and very comfortable. It does raise you about 3" though

 

I added the HD Brawler seat - very comfortable out of the box! Low profile but it does not support a backrest.

Thanks everyone! I just ordered the Diamond Stitched version. Not sure if I'm all over the Diamond pattern, but the Smooth seat looks pretty vanilla in the HD Accessories book.
