The 518’s look very good to me, so i called KW to talk about them. He was EXTREMELY helpful, but when I told him I ride a 2017 RGU, he said they won’t fit, and explained that from 2015 on, specific to the RGU, the handlebar clamp will only accept a 1 1/4” bar, and not a 1”. He said the bar would not work unless I purchased an adapter (no way), or purchased new risers that fit a 1” bar. He also said that they may offer an additional model in the future that would fit my current clamp, but said only that I should check back periodically for confirmation. So my question is, does anyone know of any other bar that will provide the same sizing features as the 518’s? I still have the stock bars on, although I loosened the clamp and rolled them back as far as the pin would allow. The height is right, but I would like to have my grips about 2” closer to me.

Which bars did you use? 518s or 519? You have a limited so I assume you had no trouble with the heated grips?

Do you know the part numbers for the extended harnesses?

Thanks

Well I can answer my own questions now.

I installed the 300519 bars. The website says they are not for a 2018 FLHTK. They fit just fine. I ran all wiring including the heated grips internally.
I did use the switch wire extenders part number 69200034.

According to DRAG's book...it works out that the 300519's are listed for the 2009-13's and the 300518's are for the 2014-up, when ordered per application. So by my dealer's order, I ended up with the 518's...just got to get them on

did you have to do anything special to move the master cylinders to the new bars? More specifically, do the hydraulic lines reach without issue?

The 300518,s fit without any hoses or extensions. Loosen the big nut for the hoses, and turn them slightly and align into the proper position.

On a 2018 FLHTK the 519s no problem whatsoever. Plenty of line for both clutch and brake. Just cut the zip tie that holds them the the top clamp to set them free.

Thank you very much! This solidified it for me, I’ll be putting on the 519’s in the next couple of weeks
