I've had one on my bike for a year. Don't waste your money. If you ride a RG you know the worst is when the sun is over your shoulder and all you can see is a big white glare in front of you. This sun shield does nothing to help that. Any other angle of light on the radio is tolerable without this sun shield. I have the DayVue film as per the website recommendation.

Thanks. I did order one a few hours ago. I know it won't help with the sun over my shoulder much. Any difference will help in all light conditions. Also I am fabricating a custom hood for it. That should help. Maybe a flip down shade on the hood as well to keep the sun out of my eyes.

You mean this? Every ride this is an issue if the sun is out. I knew glare was an issue when I bought but this is ridiculous.

I also purchased a DayVue, and am not too happy with the results. I consider it more as protection from scratches, then reducing glare

Did you realize your screen in the color options has a super bright white that will allow you to see the screen easily in direct sunlight.

My screen is always set to high contrast, and no, you can't easily see the screen in direct sunlight.
