Can someone who has a tour pack of any size from Advan Black tell me if the latch mechanism is some sort of metal or is it a cheap chrome plated plastic? I looked at a Hogworkz tour pack and the latches were garbage.

Might I recommend you contact the company, the owner is really awesome and will do anything to help you out...

 

Of course l could do that but l was really hoping for some non-biased opinions.

 

Buy oem style latches and lock.

 

I have the Advan Blk tourpack on my 2011Flhr. The latches are metal. My only complaint is that you have to lock the box when you close it, you can't just close it unlocked( if that makes sense). Happy with the product!!! BTW, mine is the full size box....
