Stage 1 Tuning

Stage 1 Tuning
hey all
So i've recently purchased a 2014 Street Glide Special. It's got a SE agitator air filter and vance and hines pipes. I can only assume that an EFI tuning was done when the dealer installed the pipes and filter for the original purchaser.
How would i know if i need a retune?
My old bike is a 2010 wide glide with a full stage 1 (96" engine) that had way more power and torque than my SG with the 103 engine.
yes I know power to weight ratio plays a huge factor but is there way to know when you need to tune?
I'm not really getting any decel pops so that's good. Everything running smooth but I think it lacks power.
Thoughts?
Thanks
Mike

ok, was able to find out the original dealer, who also installed the ac and pipes. doesn't show any tuning was done. hmmmm
will look into buying a tuner. maybe FP3. not expecting a massive change in performance. at a minimum the gas mileage will get better (it's not great now).
thanks for the quick replies.

I bought the FP3. When I tuned my 14 Ultra Limited, one thing I noticed was the throttle response. It has a noticeable difference in how smooth it is.
My last bike was a Super Glide Custom with a 96" motor. I had it built to a 103 Stage 2, and that thing flew. A couple of times I would find myself shifting into sixth gear at 100 mph. Crazy....I figured I would kill myself on it so I got a touring bike. The 103 HO engine in this bike is almost the same as my Dyna had and it runs great and has plenty of power. I have only run it up into the 80 mph range in 5th gear but sure it would do a lot more.

ok took a total of 10 minutes to set this thing up and flash the bike with the right map. only got to take her out for about 20 minutes.
so far this thing has completely resolved the issue i was having with throttle response. It was hesitating, especially coming out of first gear. but could be felt switching into all gears. It is now perfect.
Can't say much regarding power or fuel efficiency yet as I haven't not had it out long enough or on the highway. Feels peppier but that could just be in my head.
so far i'm very happy. and I still have the option to run auto tune.
