Had the same issue with mine. 2015 SGS. Dealer replaced gauges ( after complaining about the water inside twice). Started within the first year. They changed out under warranty. Have been fine since. Don't give up. They will and should replace under warranty. They did try to tell me at first it was normal, B*****t! Finally they replaced them.

Wow! I noticed this a while back on my speedometer and wondered if it was from washing the bike or something. I'm now going to have this looked at by the dealer as it is somewhat irritating!

I think by taking several photos of it on my phone, as the water streaked down on the inside of both gauges helped. Was on hwy. when it was most noticeable. Had to pull over several times to capture it as it progressed down inside glass. Finally they took me seriously, and knew I was not going to accept there initial answer for it being normal. " I see this a lot" is not a reason to call something "normal". 2 years and 20,000 miles later, has not returned.

I'm not saying that you are power washing your bike but that could cause the problem

So what is causing the streaks?...Some have suggested oil, water, condensation etc??? I wonder if it occurs on cycles parked outside and is caused by condensation when the temps change at sunrise or overnight?

Just curious as to what the streaking is....dried water streaks, oil or something else.

My bike is always parked inside.I have never washed it.Got caught in the rain once, but saw spots in speedo before. The only time it was washed may have been prior to delivery.
So I went to another dealer Who said that,Harley is evaluating the problem and will take care of it when They have a solution.Either now or in the future, even beyond 2 year warranty.
Fine ,but I still have to look thru the spots on a 2017 bike, untill They fix it.

My 2015 Road Glide CVO has the same streaks in both Speedometer & Tachometer and appears to be getting worse. Bike is 2 months out of warranty with 35K miles, always parked indoors over night.

Dakota digital gauges may be an option for me.

Hey, they got your money so why should they give a f**k about your gauges?

Typical world-wide MOCO and dealer attitude.

"That's normal, they all do that". I think Harley coined that BS phrase from day one and it's worked for well over a century - why should they change now?

My '15 Limited has the same issue. I just ignore it, since it would just be replaced with another Chinese-made-crap part.

Wait until your gauge cluster gets "fried" , like mine did on a S. Dakota trip. Caught in a rain storm, next day moisture in speedo, by afternoon it was fried. Waiting for a replacement.
