Default S&S TEARDROP and external breather

I just ordered an S&S teardrop air cleaner kit from J&P cycles and would like to install it on my 2014 ULTRA LIMITED with an external breather. Has anyone installed the S&S air cleaner with external breather, and if so could you provide some pictures of how you did it. I previously purchased an external breather kit from DK to use on my screaming eagle cold air intake but so far haven't used it so will use it on this install.

Cant send any pics because im getting a little motor work for my birthday present from me.
Its easy, s&s will send you new breather bolts and a long tee piece to connect the bolts to the breather backing plate. hook your dk hoses and breather up to the breather bolts, you should get a tee with the dk kit. I routed mine to the ground though. Get a vacuum plug for the hole in the s&s backing plate and slip it over the boss on the backside of the breather plate, or use a rubber tapered plug from the hardware store.. Also, when you bolt the backing plate to the throttle body, put a little blue Loctite on the screws. should take about an hour.

Did you use a filter on the hose you ran to ground or left open, I know on my 82 shovel I just ran the hose to vent to ground like the earlier shovels. I have the filter that goes on the end of the hose and was considering trying to hide behind the intake baking plate but don't know if that's possible or a good idea.

Also, Billib1954, thanks for the advice on using a vacuum plug. I wasn't sure how I was going to plug the breather hole on the backing plate and was considering filling it with high temp RTV, I like the vacuum plug idea much better.

Just ran it to the ground along the exhaust bracket. No filter.

I have an S&S and the breather bypass. I ran two hoses down and connected them to an inline filter which hides mostly behind the a/c cover. My problem is the smell and the oil I get out of the filter. The smell from it gets on my pants and it's not pleasant. I have one of the Rushmores that are sensitive to the amount of oil put in and my dealer always fills it to the top so..... I still have oil coming out of the inline filter, enough to spray on my rear header, side cover and bag. Another member on here who got rid of his RK last year had hoses made for the S&S that run it to the ground and sent it to me free! Shout out to Sixguns! I haven't swapped it yet but I can't wait to get it done. Bottom line, vent it to the ground. My 9 cents........

CaptainKirk, thanks for your reply. My bike vents little to no oil but I can see that just the gases could be annoying. Even just a little oil passing thought the filter was also my concern so based on your experience I will run my vent hose to ground.
