Changing models is NOT a down trade, it's just a different ride. Ride what you want and I would consider that an UPGRADE

I am seriously thinking about trading my Ultra Classic for a RK or SG. I have a different bike I prefer to tour on and would like something a little more sporty. Even considering older models since I really didn't see a lot of difference between my 2009 and 2014 Ultra's.

I liked the cable clutch better as well and your thoughts on the m8 is exactly how i felt.

I recently went from an 09 Road King to a 17 Heritage and couldn't be happier! You only go around once and have to make the best of what is available and the timing of it!!

I traded from a '15 RK to a '16 Ultra Limited, the wife loves it. If I could go back to an RK, I would in a heartbeat but with her loving the Ultra and riding more because of it, I will not. But, once I am done with this one, I am buying another RK for when I ride solo.

I have one of each. A SG and a RK. I like them both but I do not care for the skinny front tire. Rides like chit.

I traded an 11 Ultra Limited, mostly stock for a late 14 RK. Only had to pay $1600 plus the frt/doc/tax and they gave me a $2K gift card. I am keeping this King forever (I think)
