Default Who has the Clearview Shield 5" wider with recurve?

Who has installed the Clearview Shield with the recurve and 5" extra width? I couldn't find any posts regarding the extra width specifically of the shield. Clearview looks to be the only ones that do this? Looking for feedback. Thanks!

I did the wide shield from them about fours years ago on a 2010 Ultra. I don't remember them having the recurve option at that time.

It worked well in the winter months but I did not like the looks of it. When I pulled it off in the summer I gave it to a friend who ran it a while. I really cannot remember how he felt about it?

I've both reg and wide with the recurve honestly can't tell any difference , had to grind off little to prevent accidentally scratching on the inner fairing just get the regular one IMO.

I have one. Used it for a couple of years or so and I like it. My wife says it decreases the buffet airflow on the passenger.

I had a medium height one on my 14 Limited. It did block the wind from my shoulders better than standard width and gave me a quiet bubble of air to sit in, but the top edge was in line with my site, so I tried the lowest one with extra width. That one only had the extra width in the bottom 2 in. of the shield, looking like little ears, and not doing a thing for wind management. I wouldn't recommend the extra width on the short one, but would the med or taller. I'm only 5'6" for reference.

I have the Clearview large, wide shield with recurve on my 2014 Ultra. Love it! Creates a nice air pocket for me and my wife. I also had a Clearview large with recurve on my last bike, a 2012 Kawasaki 1700 Voyager and enjoyed that one too. If you are worried about the shield blocking too much air in the heat, you can adjust the batwing louvers to channel more air.

I'm thinking about going with the large as well. I'm 5'11" and the stock shield is level with my lower lip. Going to the large should put it level with my nose. Do you think going with the medium with the recurve would push the air high enough? That would put it approximately level with my upper lip or so? Thanks!

Matthew6279,
I was mistaken. I checked my records and I purchased the Clearview X-Large screen with recurve. I am 5'10.5" and the X-Large windscreen with the recurve just pushes the air over the top of my helmet. If I put my hand on top of my helmet, I can feel the turbulent air about 1 finger width (1/2 inch) above my helmet sitting up not slouching. I would say the top of the X-Large screen is at my nose level. I also have the HD hammock seat. The seat height will have a major influence in your positioning in relation to the windscreen. I tried the HD 15" windshield and the top was in the middle of my field of vision. That likely means the hammock seat is slightly higher than stock.

Sorry to revive an older thread but it ain't that old and crusty yet....

Thinking about the extra width recurve in 'medium' which would put it 1/4" taller than the 10" stock shield. I also have my eye on a Wind Splitter 10 in takeoff from a CVO. That also has a recurve and extra width.

Has anyone ridden both shields? Comments on the CVO Wind Splitter?

I replaced my Clearview wide with a Freedom shield. There is moe comparison between the two. The Freedom is much better in shape and quality.
