For the guys having a problem installing the dealer update after doing 1.21.2.1.

The only way I was able to get the Dealer update to work on my 14 ultra was to go back to 1.20.04 then do the dealer update then reinstall 1.21.2.1 doing it this way worked for me and a few others . I worked this out after trying everything under the sun for about 8 1/2 hours.

Do not know is this is a new problem but I am first noticing it with 1.21.2.1. Here is what is happening. Under the setup menu there is a box to check "Prompt for Navigation" this turns off the audible turn by turn instruction for the navigation. I always run with it off. I do not like the kind lady constantly telling me I am going the wrong way. I know where I am and where I am going. I only use the Navigation to generate trip statistics. Now when I uncheck the prompt for navigation everything is fine. When I read a text message from my phone using the BoomBox feature the Prompt for navigation turns on and she begins telling me to turn around. Accessing the setup to turn her off is easy, but having to do it consistently is annoying. Fix it Harley!!!

I don't know when it began either but I still have the version before this one and it does the same. Irritating.

Default Question:

Why is there a 1.7 MB difference between the CVO version and the standard version? The only thing different is the splash screen, right?

To my ears the CVO version also has a different, better audio equalization.

I loaded BOTH and there is a perceptible difference.

I don't think so. I know there is a difference that the Nav DB recognizes & won't allow a Premium Nav DB update to load onto a CVO system. Probably other differences as well, as Sierra977 has already noted.

Rename the downloaded file by removing the "_cvo" at the end. DON'T mess with the .iso at the very end.

Keep in mind that many (not all) dealers will install the latest software and if they see a CVO on a non-CVO, they may remove it. I have asked that this not be done and depending who is working, they may or may not agree with your request. If I'm using the CVO and I need to make an "emergency" stop at a dealership, I will always try to install the correct software.
