purchased these fork cover a few months ago and they started turning a Root beer color. Contacted seller his commit was "the suns ultraviolet rays are effecting them" and has not offered to do anything about it. I messaged him back and told him this bike is only been ridden very little and the covers surly would have turned sooner if left out in the sun more. Got no response! hopefully paypal will award me and I get a refund.

Powder coating will hold it's color, black anodizing will fade to various shades like a brown tint. Cheaper the process used the faster it turns.

 

Sorry to say, but you sir, got what you paid for. You looked at price and never questioned why a chi-com knockoff is $73 vs $279 for the original.

 

I know of a few that bought them as cheap and have had no issues, as far as the billet part of it is ok will just have them powder coated!

I look for at least 99% positive feedback when I'm buying from eBay. Unless it's something that only 1 or 2 sellers have, then it's a gut feeling call.
