Default New HD AD2P Bluetooth adapter

Who's going to be the first to jump on this HD adapter to provide full Bluetooth connectivity for headsets? We've all been chasing this ghost since the Rushmore Boom system was released. I'm assuming it will work with non HD branded Bluetooth communicators. Looks like the HD branded models are relabeled Sena units.

I guess the total cost is $350 for this new module & wiring harness. Seems in line with other after market efforts. But still pricey for something that should have been in the unit from the beginning.

WIRELESS HEADSET INTERFACE MODULE
It’s time to cut the cord with your bike. Now available for
’14-later Touring and Trike models equipped with Boom!™
Audio 6.5GT Radios, this Wireless Headset Interface Module
(WHIM) lets you communicate with your bike without being
wired to it. The WHIM Bluetooth adapter permits wireless
connectivity to the 6.5GT infotainment system, allowing you
to communicate via CB radio, hear turn-by-turn GPS directions,
listen to your favorite radio stations and so much more
all through your Bluetooth®-enabled headset.
Blueooth Wireless Technology
Wireless interface permits full access to the Infotainment
features without the hassle of being connected to the bike.
You have full freedom of movement for turning your head and
getting off the bike at fuel stops.
Integrated Into the 6.5GT Radio
Seamlessly use all wired headset functionality (CB, Phone,
Intercom, Navigation, Radio) without the compromises of
aftermarket systems, and configure your Boom! Audio 20S
headset directly from the radio controls.
Superior Audio Quality
Harley headsets utilize A2Dp protocol with the AptX codec
for superior audio quality when compared to typical headsets
utilizing Hands Free Protocol connection.
Dual Headset Connectivity
Two Bluetooth-enabled headsets can be connected to one
WHIM, simplifying installation and keeping costs in line.
Integrated Behind the Fairing
Module mounts behind the fairing and connects directly to the
radio, eliminating external wires and connections to console
and Tour-Pak communication ports.
Compatible with H-D Wireless Headsets
Current H-D wireless headsets are completely compatible.
No need to purchase new headsets to use the WHIM system.
Harley headset volume can be adjusted from the motorcycle
hand controls.
76000768 $299.95
Fits ’14-later Touring and Trike models equipped with a
Boom! Box 6.5GT audio system. ’14-’17 models require the
separate purchase of Wireless Headset Interface Module
Harness P/N 69201726. Installation on ’14-’15 FLHTKSE
models will result in reduced satellite radio reception. Dealer
Digital Technician™ software update is required. Dealer
installation is recommended.
Also available:
WIRELESS HEADSET INTERFACE MODULE HARNESS
Required for installation of Wireless Headset Interface Module
on ’14-’17 Touring and Trike models.
69201726 $49.95
Fits ’14-later Touring and Trike models equipped with a
Boom! Box 6.5GT audio system and Wireless Headset
Interface Module P/N 76000768.

I was a little surprised to read that this would: "Installation on ’14-’15 FLHTKSE
models will result in reduced satellite radio reception"

Hope it works fine

I just saw this module on the HD site. I immediately anted to know if it only works with the HD/Sena 20S or will it work with the Cardo Bluetooth like the Indian's Infotainment. I will going to the Oakland HD 2018 early release later today, so I will find out. I am also surprised to see HD did away with the Dyna Line and made all 2018 low rider, street bob, fat bob bikes on the all new soft tail frame. cant wait to see them

The A2DP profile has been integral with the Boom 6.5GT since its' introduction. A2DP is the profile that allows streaming music from your phone to the radio via BT.

What this module really does (I believe) is support 2 HSP profiles simultaneously. And possibly 2 AVRCP links (to control the BT headsets it pairs with) as well? A better description & functional checks will reveal more.

Only if:

1) You install a CB on your Rushmore model or
2) the pre Rushmore rider has a BT headset that will link to the Rushmore rider's BT headset.

Well Gents... at Oakland HD and nobody knows if it only works with the HD or Sena 20s. Hey don't have a 2018 CVO to find out and the parts sales guys have no clue.
But the 2018 Road Glide Specials are very nice. All blacked out with extended bags
