Default 15/16 Streetglides

Looking to add another HD to the garage. Looking at a TC Streetglide Special. Prefer a 16, but curious if 15 and 16's are the same. Im assuming yes and havent seen anything saying different...... But hate to assume. Itll be Vivid black, so colors arent a concern. Thx.

The '16 have the narrower primary. Hard to tell by the eye but it lets your feet get closer together. Also keeps the hot metal off your leg.

I thought it was the 17s with the M8 that they put the narrower primary on?

You're right, '17 on with the new M8 motor. All the 103' are the same, 2014-2016.

@shore is correct. In 2015 only the "low" models have the narrow primary; ALL of the 2016 touring bikes have the narrow primary.

^^^^^^^^^ this.

The 2016 Touring line all came with the narrower primary.

Earlier Rushmores came with it on the "low" models.

Besides the primary, the 15-16 are pretty much the same bike. If you are changing handlebars the '16's have the smaller connector on the TBW cable so you can pull it through a 1.25" bar.
If you like the '15 I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.
Great bikes!
