helmet theft increases??
I usually just leave my helmet on my seat when I'm off my bike, but now that I will have the Sena on them and the WHIM installed, I'm thinking that thefts might go up. I have an FLHTK, but my trunk is usually stuffed with things and I can't put two helmets inside. How does everyone secure their helmets, if at all? I was thinking of an after market locking mechanism, but are they any good? Not a good place to put it either.
Any suggestions?
TIA.

I think most of us have been lucky. A lot depends on where you park. I have had gloves stolen that I left on the seat but so far not a helmet. But I think about it every time I leave it on the seat. None of my helmets cost over $200.00 but I would not want to have to replace one due to theft. I am considering buying a Shoei and it will definately not be left unlocked. Thanks for the suggestions.

The helmet locks I've seen trap the buckle on the strap. If that type of lock is used, and someone just wanted the headset, they'd probably just cut the strap, remove the headset at their leisure, and toss the helmet. I'd sure not want anyone's used helmet.

Here are a few selections for helmet locks from HD.
I use the first one every so often and keep two on the bike.
I lock my neotec to the tourpak luggage rack, works great.
They can be found here: http://search.harley-davidson.com/?q=Helmet%20lock
