Default Goofy Winter Storage Question

This is my first year storing on a jack, so my question is should I jack it up totally off the ground so the suspension is unloaded or just jack it up partially to take weight off the suspension? The bike (15 Limited) will be in storage for 6 months in a storage unit with a concrete floor covered with cardboard.

You want the tires off the ground to prevent flat spots. Good luck

And you want to shore up the jack with wood blocks to ensure it doesn't leak down or somehow unlock - cause it's happened.

Also, visit once a week, caress her seat, and tell her she's a good girl and you'll be riding her soon...

Just once a week though... and no more than a quick caress. I promise.

Jack up so tires are off the ground, add Sta-bil to the gas, fill gas tank and hook up battery tender to the battery. Then wait for spring.

Filling the gas tank is important to minimize room for condensation.
I heard that it's good to read portions of the maintenance manual to it once in a while.

I keep mine wheels off the ground, jack fully raised, but settled down onto the safety locks. Jack is most stable in that position, and takes up slightly less floor space. Jack has locks to take the pressure off the hydraulics. In my case it has nothing to do with the floor (concrete not that it matters), or flat spots on the tires. I kept my first bike tires on the floor for the entire winter, never got flat spots.

I would also try and run the last couple of tanks of gas ethanol free gas. It helps not gum things up big time. I have read that even with Fuel treatment Ethanol gas goes bad in just a few weeks.
