Default Stripped axle pinch bolt - HELP PLEASE

All

What turned out to be a seemingly simple task in removing the front wheel from my 14 SG, has turned into a disaster. As you can see from the picture, after stripping the bolt, I attempted to drill it out with a brand new hard metal bit but I've been unsuccessful with that as well. I could really use some advice on this one? Thanks in advance for your help.

Bite the bullet and bring it to a machine shop. It's time to get someone with experience involved

Heck, just ride it a bit. It will fall out on its own.
An easy out should get that out.

Time to bite the bullet and order a new lower from the dealer. You could also search for a used set and rebuild the forks. It is probably time to replace the fork oil and rebuild your forks.

Looks like you could step up to the next drill size then try an ez out, maybe even two sizes but take small steps

This may be a solution... You may also want to spray wd40 on threads and let it soak in for a minute or two before trying extraction ...

Easy fix. Reversible drill bit or EZ out.

Some of you mothers need to keep your advice to yourself, buy a new leg ? you smoking dope ?

OP, use a 1/8" drill bit and deepen the hole while it's still tapered to the center, get it 3/8" deep go the same size as had with a new bit and drill the head off then use a small EZ out to take the rest of the bolt out. Just be sure to drill in as straight as you can and don't use cheap *** drill bits.
