Nothing new to add. Take the money and get a new one. Best option IMHO

Take the money if you can work out a settlement that you're comfortable with.

I'm just wondering why it's taken 2 months to get to this point?

45K miles (98800 km)on bike, your taking a little hit, a few thousand with the 14.5 K money, but not that much, my vote is a new bike.

I asked this myself I was very patient with the shop not harassing them just calling once every few weeks to see what was up. I will know Monday or Tuesday if it's a fix or replace final cost of repairs $26500.

Get a new one. I went through this with my 09 when I got in an accident in 2013. The bike was like 800.00 short of a total. I took the insurance money and sold the bike to a local shop that rebuilt wrecked bikes. Because the title was still good and not totaled I got an additional 2500.00 for it. I would have never felt right on that much work being done on it in the local shops.

Update I received phone call this morning from the insurance company and they told me the bike is a total loss and are going to write me a cheque for $30.302, now I have to decide what to buy. I'm not sure if I should stay with the Street Glide or maybe switch to that cool looking Road King special, just not sure I can give up the tunes and the fairing. I'm not rushing into anything I'm going to take the Road King for test ride and see what I think.

In the USA, you have the option to always take the money, not sure how Canada works but only makes sense its the same.
