I moved to Idaho in the summer of 2013, and believe it or not, I'm now at 47 consecutive months of riding. Haven't missed a one.

We're right across the Snake River from the SE corner of Washington, down in a small valley at the confluence of the Snake and the Clearwater. Storms off the Pacific kind of split in half and go around us. This area has been known as the "Banana Belt" of Idaho for decades. Golf courses are normally open all year.

We had "real snow" last year, but even though the ground was covered for two months, the streets were usually clear. Rode every month!

They've already salt brined the roads in Ohio so my RGS is parked but not put away. There is no such thing as put away here. I won't ride once temps drop below freezing in the AM because i am not willing to play with black ice on two wheels. I also won't expose my bike to salt ever. Thats my general no ride limitation. I can ride in the 40s or lower its just not pleasurable. IF we see 60F and the roads are clear of salt brine I'm all in.
