Just replaced my battery two weeks ago on my RG, I didn't have to reset the clock.

Maybe that's what's wrong with me forgetting stuff lately. I must have had my battery replaced, and forgot everything...including that I replaced my battery.

Don't you have to remove the ECM that covers the battery before getting to the battery?

From the "Youtube" videos I've watched the ECM is simply moved aside but not disconnected and removed.

On my bike, you pull the seat. Then you have to remove the caddy that holds the ECM and some other cables, and the like, then the caddy tray is removed. That will allow access to the battery. Hopefully whomever put it in there last time remembered to set the lift strap. You don't unconnect the ECM cable, you just unclip the module from the caddy and set it to the side.
