But, as I said, I’m insane...

. Norton Adblocker blocks those pop ups on Safari. Also blocks inserting photos though, so I have to use Garage Talk for that. It would be nice if IT would fix the problem, that only occurs on here.

I would imagine it will find it's way to the lowest point in the tank. Use a siphoning tube to drain the gas and it may find its way to block the tube.

Will affect nothing. The sock is pleanty big. As an additive adder, just make sure you use correct proportion of additives. Some will dissolve the sock off. Now that is a problem.

It's like when you were a kid and you swallowed a penny. You told your folks it wasn't gonna a problem...but they knew better.

Count me amongst those who would be getting any type foreign debris out of my tank. But that's because I could be nicknamed UnLucky. In my world that cap would figure out how to cause me great misery at the most inopportune time months down the road.

Do I:
a) Forget about it and pretend it never happened.
b) Empty the tank, remove the tank and hope it will come out.
c) Sell my ride and leave town.

And yes , I tried to find it with one of those pinchy claw things. No luck.
did it float to the top? or drop to the bottom. if it floats fill the Tank and grab it with tweezers or extra long needle nose pliers

Yep, did the same with a tube of chap stick. The Damn thing fell square in the hole. I ended up going in after the bugger and taking the fuel pomp assembly out to do just that. Not a bad job, just a lot of fumes.

Not only on this site, it's running wild on the Corvette Forum too, many threads over there about it. I see that both the Vette Forum and this Forum are Internet Brands (I think that's their name) sites. It hasn't happened to me yet on this site and on the Vette site it's only happened when I use my Android phone or IPad to access the Corvette Forum, I only use my Windows 7 desktop or my Windows 10 laptop to access any forums now. So far no problem on either one of those, fingers crossed...
