I too felt like the friction zone was too narrow in the beginning, however now it feels normal. No issues even switching back and forth between my '14 Limited and my '14 Heritage that is cable.

Had those in black on my 2016. They will not fit a 2017 or newer

I've complained about mine since 2014, and I never have, and never will, get used to it. Slow turns are a nightmare.

I believe Softbrake sells reconfigured levers for brake and clutch which narrows the grip space by 1". Requires trading in your existing levers.

I bought one of the Oberon adjustable clutch levers from a forum member. I'm going to try it and see for myself how it changes the dynamics of the clutch.

So what was your experience with the Oberon adjustable clutch levers?

Oberon adjustable clutch levers are the only option if you don't want to go with lever that has been bent. The 2017 and newer have a different master cyl and none of the earlier type adjustable levers will fit. I put Oberon adjustable clutch lever on as soon as Oberon put one out that would fit the 2017, never looked back well worth it for me.

Many of us have swapped them out. on a 2017 and newer only one company makes one to fit right now. The master cyl was changed in 2017 so the other ones for Rushmore's will not fit.
This shows the adjustable next to the stock lever. By turning that dial you change engagement point.
The install is quick and easy.

I highly recommend the Oberon levers. I've had them on my 2014 Limited for years.

Hey Smitty;
I bought this lever for my '17 FLHTK. I have not installed it yet because its been so G/dam cold in the northeast.
If you installed your own, does it involve anything more than a pair of snap-ring pliers? Are there any spacers or lubrication needed?
I sure appreciate your advice.

Thanks
Rick
