Default Headlight change

Hello all,

I have a 14 FLHX and have been running HID bulbs since I got the bike. I just had one of the transformers go, so I am looking onto my options.

When I got the HID, they were teh less expansive option between LED and HID. However, I have been thinking that I want to switch to LED headlight.

Who has some experience with Headwinds LED bulbs? My wife had one in her Slim and has been very happy with it.

If not the Headwinds, what would you suggest?

Thanks all

I am using the HD Daymaker projector lights for both aux and headlight, I like it a lot.

I have the JW Speaker (see below), and it is a great headlight. The only thing is that the “tone” of this headlight isn’t an exact match for the Custom Dynamics signal lights. I have no issue with that, but some do. For those, CD offers their own headlight that I’ve heard good things about.

I also run the JW Speaker Evo2. Great light. Wife feels much more comfortable at night with it installed.

DK Customs & FuelMoto sale LED replacement bulbs for the Stock Dual Bulb Headlight, at about the same price.
This would be a great addition to see better a night, & not adding the high cost of a Harley Daymaker light.
Your other choice can be to go to Amazon, & get a Daymaker LED knock off, for a under C note, it's all about
the quality of light for night riding you want. Higher prices dose not equate to better night lighting.

Yes, I’ve had the CD TruBeam with the Ringz turn signals for over a year now. Love the light and lumens is perfect match with turn signals. Tried the JW and Trucklite 1st and they were great lights. But matching the color of light was important to me.

I just put a JW Speaker 8790 in my bike last week and it looks like they just launched an updated adaptive 2 version.
