Default Using 2014 TBW on 2016 Street Glide? Adapter?

So, long story shortened, I am swapping bars with a fellow member, and we've agreed to leave our bars "pre-wired." Only issue is, his is a 2014 Glide and mine is a 2016--unfortunately, the TGS/TBW connectors are different. Mine is the newer, smaller kind, and his is the 2014-style (a bit larger). It also appears that the wire colors are different. Anyone know if I can simply swap the connector over to the smaller one? Does anyone know the wire-color line-up to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can find wiring diagrams here:
https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....cle/lookupForm

Either enter VINs or use the search box .... 2014 touring or 2016 touring

I'll document how it goes here. I ordered the appropriate Deutsche connector from my local dealer (along with 8 pins--in case I screw 2 up...).
