Default Corbin Classic Solo

I am thinking about ordering a Corbin Classic Solo seat for my 2014 SGS and would like opinions on whether to get it made in leather or vinyl? I live in the Northeast and I do not ride in the rain that much but the bike does sit under the sun all day during the Summer months when I ride it to work. I am looking at a black/charcoal combination. Of course, leather sounds far better than plastic, especially when spending this kind of money but I am sure that there is a downside to this as well.

There are so many darn options on their website that it's mind-boggling. I've already changed my mind 10-times.

(Note: Did not want to hijack the previous poster's thread)

Get leather for your ***, and vinal on the sides. That is what Corbin recommended to me.

My wife loves hers, seems to be a love it or hate it seat! I see your in NJ so you might ride on cool days, I would consider getting a heated seat too, the hand full of times a year you use it you will love it!
Just take your time in designing your seat and do it the right way once!

My last Corbin had leather seating & vinyl on the sides. I recently purchased the Classic Solo all in leather. At the price of this seat, I wanted it all in leather. A couple of points. I would get leather seating as a minimum. It is much cooler and more comfortable than vinyl in the heat. Also, leather requires some care. I treat mine with a good quality leather cream every couple of weeks I. The summer. If you take care of the leather it will last a very long time and look great! I had the last Corbin for 2 years. When I traded that bike, I sold the Corbin for almost what I paid for it. The buyer couldn’t believe what great condition it was in.

Leather...... vinyl is a cheap substitute for real leather...... do you have a leather or vinyl jacket?

Corbin recommends leather for the butt and vinal for the sides. They told me the reason for this is, the vinyl on the side panels holds its strength better than the leather side panels. YMMD

Yep, what Corbin recommends is a good way to go on this.
And as stated earlier it takes some maintenance with leather conditioning cream every once in a while.

Keep the leather maintained with the saddle cream <insert joke here>. Makes it soft <insert another joke here>.
