I use the free version. Does everything I need. Have never even looked to see what additional function that 'Gold' provides.

What is the difference between the 3 'save as' options on My Route:

gpx for HD 1.1

Is any of them better at handling Boom's 'skip way function by showing the actual waypoint name instead of the latitude/longitude ? (A personal hot button of mine ................... sorry for the diversion, but thought I'd ask)
I have been using and recommending My Route for about a year now and like it best after trying most of the others. For those who like Tyre, it was developed by the same folks. I have successfully imported both 1.0 and 1.1 files to my Boom. I haven't imported any routes since last July and I believe the HD 1.1 is a new option since then. I will try it next time. My Route will also import gpx files created in the other planners.

Can you plan a route, then navigate the route from your phone. Instead of the Harley system?

Hello, I have just started to use the Honda Route Planner as you can import a route, which I found useful.

I know I am being stupid even as I type the question, but can someone please confirm that when I enter a so called "new stop" on an existing route - is this really just like a "waypoint" and gets treated as such on the HD Sat Nav. Many thanks.

Not that I’m aware of, the only thing I used the mobile app for was to go over the route for the next day, just so I Can get it straight in my head, maybe on paid version you might ?

hal174 - yes, the Add a Stop will appear as a waypoint. Just remember to put that waypoint in order on the PC.

In other words, when you hit add a stop, that goes from the last stop to the new stop. If on the map your added stop was somewhere between your route, all you have to do it got to the view and move that stop up.

I have no issues using the HD Ride Planner, however I just returned from HOG Officer Training and during one of the general sessions they announced they will be releasing an upgraded version of the Ride Planner *soon*.
