Default __ New Freedom Shields Wide Touring Option __

Just got my new WS put on from John at Freedom Shields.
Weather is kind of crappy here in NE Ohio right now, but I did manage to ride a few miles this morning to check it out, I like it allot, thanks John.

Freedom makes the best Windshields out there IMHO.

New Wider Touring Style Windshield Option

New optional wider style windshield for the Electra Glide, Street Glide, Ultra Classic and Tri Glide. Extends over the speakers above the inner fairing to spread the wind out farther to the sides for a quieter ride and less wind on your arms and shoulders. These have our same AirCurve design at the top to drive the airflow up 2"-3" higher than a standard windshield. Available for both the 1996-2013 models and also the 2014-2018 models.

See our web page for your model bike for more information:

Keep us informed how it works for you when the weather is better. I'm looking at the same thing for my 16 RGU.

I like it so far, only went on a 12 mile ride today, it was 50 here in NE Ohio. The Tunes seem to sound better at speed, and I did notice less wind on the side on my body. Trailering to FL next month, and my buddy and I usually do around 1200-1400 miles while were down there, that will be the big test.

Just got home from Bike Week, and I put 1,350 miles on my bike while I was there.
I really LOVE this Windshield, best WS purchase yet, thanks John and Freedom Shields.

I'm ordering one soon. I've always enjoyed the wider windshields. I had one from FLH (?) and it was nice. I now have a 10 inch windsplitter, which is wider at the bottom.

This is the first one I've owned. I have noticed a difference in my tunes, and more wind protection too. I also have to say kudos to the quality. I have had a few Windshields in the past and noticed allot of distortion at the curves and bends. You get none of that with Freedom, just crystal clear quality.

I've been running one of those for a few months now. I went with the tallest model to smooth out the buffeting for my passenger. Downside is I have to look through the top 1-2 inches.

Be sure to space the pointed wings up from the fairing. Otherwise they'll vibrate against the fairing and scratch it.

An argument of form vs. function can always be made. I like to get the most of both form and function. I have always used LRS so I can't really say if FS are better. Having said all that, I'm not a fan of the looks of FS WS as seen on their website. But that's just me and I'm glad there are product options out there that suit us all.

I really didn't want to mention any names of WS Manufacturers, but a few of the LRS that I used to have were the ones that had the distortion, or waves in the shield. Your right, there are WS Manufacturers that please everyone, and there are allot to choose from too. I just like Freedom, vision quality and looks are first class in my book, and the finished polished edges look great too. JMHO

Yes, the three F's of engineering, fit, form, and function. If that don't work there is always the forth F, Fu*k it.
