Your gonna like that, you will trip when you find out nobody really runs the place. The guy that does your seat will handle you for start to finish including payment. At least that was my experience. To answer your question; I really do not know. I'm guessing 500 to 1,000 miles. It pretty much feels today as when it was new, 20,000 miles ago. And get a bite to eat at Wizards Cafe while you are waiting for your seat

Your seat is beautiful! I wish I would’ve just gone this route.

My seat has been on 2 bikes. I bought it in Sturgis 2011, I've put over 100,000 miles and it is holding up like new. It wasn't cheap but it's a quality product.

For me the Corbin Dualtour needed no breakin at all. It was perfect right out of the box. That said not every seat is just right the masses. I picked up the new Fire&Ice seat from Corbin yesterday. If that is as comfortable as my heated dual tour I'll most likely be selling the heat only seat.

Do you have any pics of the new seat before you installed it? Or any pics actually, am curious about how the F&I works. May have to get one for my bike. It is 100 degrees plus from July to October in my part of SoCAL.

I'll try to get a pic for you. The seat has two fans on the underside and they pull air in from the back of the seat and it exhausts out the front. Salesman said there is a little more to it than that. They claim 15* drop in seat temps from ambient air temps. I guess time will tell. From the outside the only differences in the exterior is the switches to turn things off and on.

I got to go back and see some things as well when my seat was being made.

The thing I liked is being able to pick everything and being able to ask for little mods to make sure the seat is just right.

Corbin states about 1,000 for break in. I would say it's more like 1k to "personalize" it. Fits your butt then.

x2 on Wizard's café!

They use Peltier chips. When you apply current one side gets cool and the other side gets hot. (I'm way oversimplifying this....)
