No need for Ebay, list them here they'll go quick, Wondering if these are vin restricted to 2018 models only, or can anyone with a CVO purchase these as well?

A friend left me try his 18 CVO VIN to order these but the order got cancelled automatically. The dealer requires proof of ownership and the old emblems have to be returned before they will order them. A friend that works in the paint department at the moco applies these to tanks every day, the emblems are watched very closely and inventoried at the end of every shift. Funny thing, it's easier to buy a $700 CVO seat than these plastic emblems that are mold injected for pennies.

Why would HD make a part, chrome it, and then paint over it? Chrome is a lousy base for paint...
Secondly, why would someone get a part that we’ve all established is very difficult/expensive to obtain then risk damaging it by applying paint thinner on what, a “hunch” that it may be chrome underneath? (Now that’s PERFECT example of a run on sentence, huh?)
I just don’t get any of it.
Show us a photo of this factory chrome emblem and I’ll owe you a public apology, but until I see it, I’m sorry but I don’t buy any of it.

And there are people selling copies for $30...I have bought CVO emblems from dealers before...not all require the VIN....even if they are supposed to.
