Question Oil usage normal or not?

My 2017 Ultra Limited is using oil at what I think is an alarming rate for a 7,000 mile bike
It only uses it while on the interstate, I haven't noticed any usage while bombing around town.
Seem to go thru about 2-4 ounces every 100 miles or so on the interstate.
I checked to see if it was migrating to the trans but it is not.
The bike has the stage two cam and it seems like the oil usage started up at about that time, not sure about the correlation tho.
Does anyone else's bike have similar oil usage? Is this normal?

I would think that that is unusual. While my 2014 is stock, I am not be able to address your stage 2 cam - but, I don't seem to use any oil.

So about a qt every thousand miles, give or take depending on riding conditions. Very unreasonable for a vtwin. Is it getting oil back into the intake?

Take it back to the dealer. They have a oil pump update that may fix that. If not it may be a cylinder ring issue.

Might want to post this over in the M8 section for an apples to apples comparison.

My 05 Road King with over 70k doesn’t use any noticeable oil between oil changes. Even on long highway trips.

Thanks fellas, I was just curious if anyone else had this issue.
I need to get this checked out before my road trip from Phoenix to Milwaukee at the end of August

Hopefully the weather there is better then than it is now. They just got a foot of snow while in Phoenix it's in the 80's......

I have not removed the air cleaner to check in side the throttle body but it has a ventilator air cleaner and I don't see any residual oil on the outside of the filter?
