Short guy wanting new bars. Need Suggestion
#11
I am 5' 6" and are thinking about putting on some new handlebars, however I am worried about reach issues. My arms are on the shorter side but the stock handlebars are not comfortable on long rides. Seems like all bars have their own way they measure pullback so its hard to decide which ones to get. Just looking for ideas on which ones to look at buying. Any pics would be great also. My plan is to buy the bars, new wires, and new riser bushings. Thanks
Click on the photos. Its not much info for Reach but may help you decide?

I don't have any issues with the stock bars as far as reach goes. Just looking for a set bars to get my arms up at shoulder height for a more comfortable ride but I am afraid if I do I may have issues with reach then. Just seeing what was out there for us shorty's.

Take a look at wild 1 bagger low bars. They are 2" higher and 1" back.

I am right with ya,,, but at 68 years old... LOL>.. Started on Harley's in 96 Fatboy, WG then full bagger in 04 - still on the Bagger... I got this new one in Aug 15. This time I Bit the bullett and got the Helibars. They are NOT cheap but for us short arm riders, they Work Great... Plus I live close enough to Corbin in Hollister, CA. I make an appointment and ride over there at 0800 = meet with the builder, have a seat made to MY butt, short legs and arms... i ride with full length front and rear shocks.. I also wear heavy boots so I am flat footed at a stop and everything fits like a glove

The popular consensus around here is the Khrome Works 2+2 Narrow Sweepers is ideal for people of our short stature.
I have a 2015 Ultra Classic LOW. Because the wrist angle is awkward I'm thinking of changing to the 2+2's from the factory HD Reach bars. I'm just not sure how they compare to each other.
