I have the Harbor freight jack , going on 10 yrs , it has been ok . Something must have changed over the last 10 yrs because my jack does not fit underneath of the frame on my 2014 bone stock FLHX ? but it did fit under the road king , yet I see people with bikes just as low as my FLX on harbor freight jacks ? double check the clearance on your frame to help deciding which jack to purchase . I am going to switch to a J&S or a pitbull as soon as possible , I'm tired of rolling onto a 2x6 just so I can get the jack under the bike .
One thing that might help,my HF jack would go under my bike if I straightened the front wheel instead of it leaning to the left on the jiffy stand. This changed the elevation just enough to get the jack under the bike. You might try that.It worked on mine.
HF for me. You have to be careful when loading the bike and tie it down.
You spend your money and take your chances. I figured that I'd gamble cheap and I've been happy.
Ragman ZL, that's the exact same jack I have and never had any issues with it, I use it to clean mine and oil changes etc....... I had a Sears Craftsman for a few years and the damn thing blew a seal and started leaking.
I have had one for years, bought it when I had my Nomad. Worked great for it and it works great for my Harley. Just don't forget to strap it down after you get it lifted.
That being said.. People have posted here about there bike falling off there lift (for what ever reason).. Haven't heard of some one diving under it to soften it's landing YET..
Where's the Beef.
