Default Breather Bolts?

These things look pretty cool. Anybody have any experience with them?

They look cool, but I would be concerned with the mess they may make.

These work great and provide a cleaner look than the hose and filter/catch can style external breather systems.

However, if your bike is a "puker", as previously stated, they could create a bit of a mess with higher compression engines.

I had them on my Dyna & they were great. No mess as I knew where it "liked" the oil level. The foam did a really good job keeping the oil on the inside.
Take out the foam filters & wash em up every now & again. My intake came with 2 sets of the foam which made that even easier.
I don't have them on my M8 because I haven't fully found it's happy place on oil level yet. I did purchase DK's filter breather set up.

I have a set and also DK advises to switch to 60 weight oil if the ambient temp is over 80 deg.
Their advise is always worth paying attention to!

No mess on my stock stage one SGS!

Although those bolts look cool, as others stated (even DK Customs rep), they can be messy if you don't get the oil-level dialed-in. Better option is to get one of their breather "systems" w/filter, or catch-can.

I had them on a Sportster, they work great. Only a little messy when you road really hard but not bad, carry a rag with you.

I run hoses because I get oil coming out of mine and I don't want it to spray on my clothes or leg or bike. I do really like how the bolts look but not worth it to me

I ran them on a sportster and have them on my Roadking for over 15,000 miles now. You need to keep the oil level right or you can get some misting. I still get some light misting on hot days, but never enough to really worry about it. I ride and the bike gets dirty anyhow so what’s a little oil mist on the rocker covers. I have never came home and noticed anything on my jeans. Err, any oil that is

Thank you for the responses gentlemen. I ended up just going with a V&H VO2 and catch can bypass.
