The guy that lost the load probably realized this as soon as it happened but didn't stop to see what damage it did. I just have to imagine that a pole that size made some noise when it fell off.

That looks like a section of pump truck hose. I would call the companies that offer that service and say "Hey I found a pipe and wondered if you lost one and want it back." They say yes, happy times. lol.

. I saw all the cars in front of me driving crazy trying to avoid it but I didn’t see what it was until the car in front of swerved left. When I finally realized what it was I was still doing about 80 and I had to slam on the brakes,

One would think with all you saw ...you would have already been on the brakes, as apposed to "still doing about 80"
