While it would catch my eye to say cool, I would not buy it if your old ike was next to it.

I asked the parts guy about ordering a new CVO paint set but he said MOCO was strict on protecting their paint schemes. So there may be a way but my guy didn't think it was possible.

I'd love to have a CVO paint set from 15-16' on my 17' CVO, but HD won't do it. I'd do that Grandstand set, but only if I could find a way to keep the CVO gas filler etc. Let us know what you do.

It's your bike. You have to live with it daily. Get what makes YOU happy.

I have wondered how difficult regular and matt paints next to each other are to care for. I like to wax and polish. Cannot do that with flat paint. Fine line there.

Good luck and I hope you are very happy with the bike when fully repaired.

Yeah, I hope I'm happy with it too, it's a complete disassembly of the bike frame off. A ton of work for sure and I just hope it all goes back together smoothly. The silver lining is that I was about to have to do a 15k service but after this I'll only need an oil change.

I think that whether you like the paint set or not the bike would be de-valued putting a non CVO set on your bike. That's the main thing that make a CVO bike a CVO. Maybe get a different CVO color than what you had. Just my opinion.

Protecting their paint schemes from what? I can understand people wanting to put CVO parts on a non-CVO bike, but your bike is a CVO. Makes no sense.

I would keep the CVO paint set, looks much better, keeps the CVO value and originality of the Bike. JMO.

Not sure why the CVO dash wouldn’t fit on The tank. I’ve seen guys put the CVO dash on a standard tank. But I may be missing something.

Personally, I like the Grandstand set better than the CVO set. Doubt it, but who knows, that may add value, given its would be a one of a kind CVO.
