I've been looking to pick up a Bagger since I sold my Deluxe a few months ago so I've checked out a fair amount of bikes from great to so so condition.
Can across a a really nice 2014 Ultra, original owner, garage kept, 4300 miles, had recalls performed.
Thing is he never had the 1k service or even an oil change done which boggles my mind.
Would any of you buy a bike knowing these facts? My gut tells me to stay away.

 

If the price is right,
check the tires and dump some seafoam in the gas tank ,check all three oil levels and run it around your neighborhood for about 30minutes, do an oil change and ride it!

 

Pretty lame he never serviced it but if you get a service manual and do the 5000 mile checklist including all three holes I would say you should have no worries.

 

As mentioned - if the price it right, I would.

 

Lucky he told you in the first place. You are looking to buy a used bike......you never know what you're gonna get. If you think it's a good deal and you like it, buy it.

 

I wouldn't be to afraid of that...its 4300 miles not 43000...buy it,Change fluids,ride then repeat at neccesary.

You, yes, you would be terrified at how much damage is being done to bikes whilst being so-called serviced.
He probably did you and the bike a favor.
You don't thinks they put their head Tech in the oil changing station do ya?

I used to work in a HD shop until I figured out I would be poor the rest of my life ..many, many many years ago

 

If a good price, buy it. Run Seafoam in the tank, change all the fluids. But I would look into those tires. Could be 5-6 year old tires.

 

****, that bike's barely broke-in...no need to worry, like others say, do the 5K service and ride-on!

 

No joke. My dealer was so cool he let me do my initial servicing there because his mechanics were backed up and I preferred to do it myself, but dealers that awesome are rare and that one retired.
