My 2016 Chevy LTZ listed for $56,400.00. At the time the dealers had a 25% off msrp price to move them out for the next year models so I bought it for $42,300. Harley is pricing themselves out of business. Dealers are required to build humongous stores in high rent districts and over charge for service on their over priced motorcycles. It's sad to watch but the train wreck has been in the making for a long time now.
I don't ride as much as I use to because I'm getting old, 67. The 16 only has 20k on the clock so I will probably keep it much longer than I keep my former bikes. You younger guys just need to reach down deep if you want to pay to play.

CVO's look brilliant on the showroom floor, but imo unless you are willing to be constantly cleaning and dusting, once it has a few thousand rainy dirty clicks on it, it looks a lot like a normal Harley. And I don't know if I could handle the stress of it getting accidentally scratched or scuffed. Guess they're not for me.......unless I could get a great deal on a lightly used late model

I would never pay over MSRP for a CVO, and never have. I have had 7 CVO bikes, and 2 of them were the first one the dealer delivered that year.

Wow, I was on the fence for a while thinking the same thing. It was a bit of sticker shock walking through the dealer seeing +$50K (CAN) for a motorcycle. Yeah CVO models (top of the HD food chain)
In reality all motorcycle brands are into +$25K (CAN) for the top models.
HD has always been the King of the Road for a reason, the biggest being mostly made in the USA. North American manufacturers are struggling to keep up but our cost of living wages are higher, as well as raw material costs.
I decided it was time for a new motorcycle and I wanted one that still had a soul and less plastic. A soul that is made by hard working people struggling in our crazy world. Yeah the MoCo is making money but they to are struggling.
Loving the new M8.
Ride safe.
