Default Power Vision Speed Cal Setting

This is a Rushmore question
What is ya ll's Power Vision speed calibration setting number on our touring bikes?
I think mine is at 2233 but it seems speedo is off
seems like I am going 40 mph when speedometer says 45-50 mph
seems off by 10 mph

I dont have a portable GPS to check it

Thanks

It's been a few years but this has been talked about in detail with a formula for calculation. Go to the tuning section power vision and do a search for speed calibration or speed calculation or? I'd have to do a little referring to my notes to freshen up my memory but don't remember exactly to answer anything specific off the top of my head.

With powervision SW just open the stock map you’ve saved when first connected to the bike and check the pulse value settled by factory.
if you started your map from a canned map, it is very possible that the pulse number was different from your stock one. (It was the case for me at least)

Mine is also at 2233. I have an app on my phone called Speedometer by Cool Niks, It can keep track of distance traveled and from time to time I'll reset my trip meter on the bike and do the same on the phone app. The furthest I've gone doing this was 140 kms and the two were only out by 2/10's of a kilometer. So that's close enough for me.

You will want to change the VSS value by the % amount of error, if you need to lower the reported speedometer MPH you will raise the VSS value, if you need to raise it lower VSS. The factory values are typically off about 3-5 % from actual speed.

I dialed in the speedo on my 14 SG. Mine was off about the same as yours. I'm at 2331 pulses per km now and it's right on with my gps and all the city speed checks that I've passed.
