Progressive rear shocks
For those who've tried them, are the 412's a better choice than the more expensive 444's for my 2014 Limited? We don't ride a LOT of 2-up, but occasionally we will, and usually for a summer vacation. Tired of bottoming out and constantly messing with the stock air shocks. I'd put on a set of the newer style HD ones if I could find some for a reasonable price.

Years ago I watched a progressive presentation video where they were describing the 412 as having the same exact performance than the stock shocks.
this mean that the 412 will not solve your problem. In my case I decided for the progressive 490 sport series. They come at a decent price on eBay and are available in both standard and heavy duty springs.
I Use them on a 16 RGU traveling in 2 and fully loaded without any bottom down issue at all.

Yeah anything is better than the HD air shocks. I never realized just how bad they rode and handled until I upgraded. I did try the HD premium shocks on my 2017 CVO for about 5k miles. Having ridden on Pro-Actions prior I felt the difference. Then the wife told me we had better upgrade. Amazing the difference the passenger feels. Both are great but you get what you pay for.

I have the 444s on my '14 Limited. For the most part I am pleased with them. The only issue I have with Progressive is that they do not offer a wide range of spring rates. The "Heavy Duty" springs they offer are still undersprung for me while the "Super Duty" springs are a bit oversprung. The "Super Duty" springs with no extra preload dialed in are just a bit harsh for me riding solo but are close to perfect for riding two up. I am running the 13.5" shocks and bottoming out has become a thing of the past. Cornering clearance is up a noticeable amount also.
