Whim module and HD Branded Bluetooth headsets
A couple other threads on the subject of the HD Whim module coupled with the HD branded Sena Headsets pique my curiousity, as I may be getting this system in the spring.
It is understood that to get all of the intended functionality of the Whim module, it's necessary to use the HD Branded 20S bluetooth headsets.
So I was poking around the HD Corporate website, and found the owners manuals for several of Harley's bluetooth headsets.
One that caught my attention- the Boom Audio 30K headsets with Mesh Intercom (whatever that is). The owners manual has the Bar and Shield logo on it, leading me to believe these are Harley Branded equivalents to the Sena 30K headsets.
But I couldn't find the 30K headsets on the HD website.
Does anyone know the part number or where I can find the specs. for these? And if they are HD Branded so as to allow stereo audio and additional functionality like the HD Branded 20S headsets.
Just found it interesting I found the HD 30K owners/user manual but not an item in their online P&A Catalog.

I have the WHIM system and it's just ok. I do know that Harley changes the code to only allow stereo sound on their headsets. A regular SENA headset will work with freewire but not have stereo. I only did it because i had some leftover insurance money and had done everything else to bike.

FYI: today I got an ad in my email from HD pointing out the new HD BOOM! Headsets: the Boom! Audio 30K, Boom! Audio10S, (those two are new arrivals so far as I can tell), the Boom! 20S EVO and the Boom! Audio Expand Half Helmet Headset. The ad didn't highlight the Boom! Audio N01 Half Helmet (the HD branded version of the Sena Cavalry helmet).
So at least HD finally has the 30K in the fold; and surely it's going to sound better and work more fully with the WHIM than the Sena 30K.
