Default HD adaptive LED

Has anyone tried the new adaptive LED Daymaker yet? I have the stock 2016 CVO Street Glide Daymaker and added the Daymaker running lights but still can’t see in corners. It’s dangerous here in NH where the roads are curvey and dark. I especially have issues on tight on and off ramps with no street lights which are common here.

Wow I just checked them out. Hd parts has a nice video.
But (omg) 800 dollars. For a headlight. I remember I paid 400 for the regular day maker. And that was way more than I wanted to spend.
Now they are all over eBay for 75$.
I think I may wait a year and see if eBay has them for 1/8 the price, as hd.
I installed one in my friends bike. And it produces the same light as my genuine hd day maker.

Try flipping the bulbs upside down in the auxiliary lights and try the difference. Works wonders for me at night. Does what the adaptive headlight does but does it all the time, not just when you turn. If you don't like it you can flip them back.

ETA: And it's FREE.

If you're going to buy one, get the JW Speaker equivalent instead. A lot less money and it's the same piece (Speaker makes the LED lights for Harley, and in Wisconsin not some Chinese sweat shop).

Yes, this worked for me too. Once flipped you may have to adjust them down just a hair. You will need a special socket to adjust them.

I flipped mine. And yes they point up. So I had to cut a notch in a cheep 9/16 socket. I used a 12 point one.
You only need to give it a quarter turn. Don’t give it more or you may cut the wires

Yes. Move the beam cutoff down to keep from blinding oncoming drivers. (My auxiliaries are LED.) I put a long horizontal piece of tape on the garage wall and adjusted the auxiliary lights down then did a test ride to get the auxiliaries at the best level for me. (Memory says the tape ended up are 42" above the floor.)

If you want to spend $$ Snap-On makes a 3/8"-drive 9/16" flank drive flare-nut socket that works great but costs $50.

I am looking at getting a JWSpeaker adaptive headlight. Wanted to know how people like them? Do they provide a huge increase in visable light compared to the stock 2016 street glide light?

No experience with any of the adaptive headlights but for my 18 I went with the vision x headlight, Im a light snob and do a lot of research before buying. In my opinion it’s the best out there right now
