I won’t add hard lowers, part of the reason I designed these brackets to hang the light under the bar is for the rare occasion I want to slip on a soft lower for rain

Would you mind explaining the last sentence? I’m a bit confused by that part.

You might want to let a dealer tech wire your lights. It's pretty obvious from comments there is a lot of misunderstanding about the factory console switches. Or you can look this up:

Note - Various options are available to purchase only those parts you need. I referenced this so you can get a better idea of how things work together. That harness includes the relay for circuits requiring more than 2 amps DC. It plugs into the ACC connector under the left side cover, just below the holder for the battery tender wire/connector (you can find this in your owner manual),

No I didn’t realize the factory switches were an integrated system, my 09 street glide I added auxiliary lights to wasn’t like that. I don’t need it to function like a factory light switch as I just want the switch to arm the lights but them to come on with the high beams when the switch is in the on position, would I still want to use a factory setup like this to accomplish that? I have looked at them but didn’t think that would be the way to go. I guess it wouldn’t hurt having extra switches but I don’t know what I’d add down the road. Thanks for the help.

the last place I’d let do any custom wiring on my bike is the dealer, i doubt they’d even be willing to do what I’m after.

You can avoid the console switch assembly, CANbus wiring & BCM controlled output completely & add direct wiring by using this:

switch

housing
