Default Wiring Baja designs S2 pros

Wiring is not one of my strong points. I ordered a pair of Baja designs S2 pros that I’m going to mount on my crash bar after I design a clean mount for my buddy to machine. They’re going on my 18 SGS that has a vision x headlight. I’d like to use a factory auxiliary switch to “arm” the lights so they’re activated with the high beam switch. So auxiliary switch off, headlight functions normal, auxiliary switch on and the S2 lights come on with the high beams. If someone could help me accomplish this I’d appreciate it.

They’re impressive for sure, I have a ton of Baja designs lights on my trucks. I drive a long ways in the dark on very rural roads they really help me see anything that’s out there. Plus the 5k color helps keep my eyes from fatiguing after extended use. I wish other led lighting companies used 5k or less instead of 6k and higher

It is not as bad as you think. Get your manual and follow the wire diagrams. It may look a bit confusing at first, but it is pretty simple.

I’m not worried about finding the high beam wire, the problem is I don’t know how to make the auxiliary switch activate the light and the high beam switch trigger it. I assume by using a relay?

Got the lights in today. Cell phone pics aren’t the best for showing light output but this does a good job at how bright these things are. This is one Baja designs S2 pro, im mounting one on each side of the crash bar. These are combo pattern so I’ll put the spot toward the middle of the bike and be flood to the outside

I think this is how I’m going to mount them with a custom machined clamp mount, or maybe I’ll just weld two tabs and have it re powdercoated

Still looking for some wiring help if anyone’s able to.

Came up with some mount ideas and my buddy got one drawn up ready to machine, should be done this week sometime. Probably use 6061 then powder coat them.

I would mount them on the sides of the crash bar. You might want to add lowers later.

Absolutely use a Bosch style relay to power the lights. You do not want that much current draw through that tiny little switch.
Tap high beam power through the switch to the relay pin 85 then to pin 86 to ground. Battery to fuse to relay pin 87 to lights on pin 30.
