Default De-catted code problems?

If you put on a de-catted head pipe do you have any problem with bike throwing codes or any negative performance problems. I have a 14 SGS with Stage 1 download and SE Stg 1 AC and am waiting for my Street Cannons. I purchased a de-catted stock header pipe and was wondering if it will cause any negative effects or codes or any other kind of problems. I know the positive side of it running cooler and flowing better but just wanted to check on any negative problems before I install. Thanks for any help.

No codes. It does make the exhaust louder. Several people have posted that removing the cat made there street cannons too loud and they went back to stock mufflers.

As one with Street Cannons, this is what I fear. My indy mechanic, who does Dyno service, said there will be a 5-8% increase in volume with the a decatted header pipe.

Just did the same, liked them just fine with the cat, not so much now. See this thread, I did a comparison video. It's not completely realistic but does show differences from one to another.

The mechanic at my dealer told me, yesterday, that the StreetCannons are engineered and designed to work with back pressure. Not only will it get louder but I will also become more "tinny".they have never given me reason to doubt what they say but I have not heard them in person with decatted pipes.

I used the V & H twin slash cuts with the decatted pipe. First I add the twin slash cuts and it was relatively quiet and the sound was ok. Once I decatted the pipes, the sound became deeper and throatier. Very happy the level and tone of sound

I have searched but cant find any link to any sound comparison between a catted and de-catted so I can hear the difference. Does anybody have a link?

They will get louder but I don't think I would call the sound tinny, just louder although I will concede that they had a better tone with the cat in place.

I forgot the link and there is a video in that thread.
